Tony: Hey, people! This is Tony Sano here. I’ve been cast in the role of Jack Valant, which is so great. I’m just really excited to be a part of this production. I think it’s going to be awesome. Just to let you know something about me, I guess the first question that everyone asks is how I came to discover my talents as an actor/performer. The answer is May 3, 1991. I was 10 years old and we were performing at this school assembly. It was this play about the circle of life and how water is good or something. And I totally forgot my line, which happens, you know, to all actors. Anyway, this would have been a disaster except that I did some improv and I pantomimed cupping water in my hands and then pouring it on myself. I didn’t even have time to think, I just reacted. And you could just feel the air get sucked out of the room. You could hear a pin drop as I repeated the gesture over and over. The teacher, Miss Mulroney, was so overcome with emotions that she had to run out and stop me. After the performance, my mom came up to me and told me I did a good job. And I could just see that I had changed something about her reality with my performance. I knew then what I would do with the rest of my life.
